SteveD's Castings "Wish List"

Once we get past the holiday season and into Sept I'm going to be getting some stuff to make more moulds for castings again. Rather than keep hijacking other threads I thought I'd start this one to see what folks may or may not want me to do.

So far I plan on:-
1. Remaking the Series 3 head so it isn't squashed
2. Making sets of Mountain & Arctic legs for use as SWS customs
3. Laser Exterminator support legs and viewing TV thingy (that's the technical term)
4. Short aerials
5. Long aerials
6. Shadowtrak side missiles
7. Divers red hammer
8. Series 1 German stick grenades (possibly).

I also have some more flexible rubber materials that I need to use within a certain time, so am looking to see if I can make a viable trench coat like the one worn on my Black Guard (see the Customs section of the site, under my name).

I know we've talked about a few ideas elsewhere, but any ideas from anyone on further bits to add to the list, so that I can consider them? Not saying I can promise anything, but it would help to bounce ideas around on here, rather than me threadjacking.

Just so that people know as well, so far I have that I can do: (All of these are ready to go, so if anyone is interested PM me).

Pallitoy Shad heads
25th Style Shad heads
RAH Shad heads (balljointed neck detailing)
Dufus style Shad heads (got loads of these cast already, so can do people deals if anyone wants any? Just like the ones that Broken Arrow occasionally do, only lots cheaper)
Repro Shadow Bazookas
Kraken tridents (tend to be very brittle though)

Shadow/German legs for customs (need painting)
Shadow/German torso parts (need work to join together, and once done are pretty fragile and so only really good for display - perfect to use with any spare limbs you got knocking about though and a Pallitoy head to make a cheap Shadow custom?)

And just to point out that I am going to be using various ways to identify any repro parts I make from originals very easily. Not yet decided how best to, but stuff like Bazookas I will likely dremmel out a hole in the end or something, so if any appear on ebay people on here can ask the seller and easily ID repro bits.

Finally - a request. If anyone has any Rise of Cobra figures could they possibly pull the head off one and post some pics of them? I need to know how they compare with the 25th series heads and necks, to see if the 25th heads will work.

let the "consolidated wish list" commence!

uzi?

any chance of the gun from the Z jeep, even if it doesn't pivot?

I think I can rule out Uzi's as not economically viable for me Sundance - sorry. Each Mould costs about a tenner to make, and I doubt I'd sell as many as 10 to cover the costs.

Guns wise I will add it to the "possibles" list. As I could do red, or black. I think I can do them fixed easiest, but if I try to make them pivot they would likely cost twice as much to make, which I think would put people off. If I do cast fixed guns they will cost about £2 each,as they will use quite a lot of plastic for each one. Would that put people off?

Think someone else mentioned SAS heads, what id really love is the caps in the flexi plastic like the kraken trident you sent, not sure if its possible or worth it but id buy about 20 or more off you if you could for customs - think the flexi plastic would stretch over larger heads?

Other than that I think youve covered everthing Id like...

That's a bloody good idea TKW! I think it's feasible - I would have to dremmel out a head to within inches of it's life, to just be left with the berret, but then I could make them out of that stretchy rubber, and I'm pretty sure that they would stretch over standard heads. Then we could cast in red, black, white, all sorts.

Could maybe apply the same principle to wooly hats too. I'll have to have a look at a few heads and see how the sizes add up. That, and my plans for that gas mask you're sending, could work out to be very good uses of the rubbery plastic!

Cool, sorry when I said caps I did mean the woolly hat things as worn by beaver etc...

Alyosha had some but they were so so tiny and would barely fit AF heads after I applied some heat to mould them a bit, never mind joes...

Wooly hats it is then! Although I will try berrets too. There should be no worries with them fitting with that rubber I use - give that trident a tug - it stretches to about double length before it snaps!

Dont know if anyone would be interested but a Cobra Commanders head to fit this body http://cgi.ebay.com/GI-Joe-25th-Cobra-C ... .m20.l1116

would be great for a red Laser custom

Does that mean you can do the yellow cap that goes on the Space Force Commander and the green cap for the Z Force Radio Operator? I may have misunderstood you previous posts.

Also, sign me up for some of the soft trench coats you had on those Black Shadow customs. Awesome! Aslo I'd be up for the Laser Exterminator support legs and viewing TV thingy and the red hammer. AS far as I'm concerned the more repro parts you can do the better.

Steve, when they are made, I will definitely want:

3 x pairs of M&A legs
8 x german hand grenades.

I shall now officially stop looking and bidding for either on feebay, content in the knowledge that my 'wants' are in safe hands... What will I do with all this free time???
