Do the less known Joes have any appearances?

Post by DAMartin »

I made this topic not just for me, but for anyone who has a figure of an obscure character and wants to know if he/she has appeared in any media (comics, TV series or even toy commercials) or if he/she is just a toy.

This said, I ask:
Downtown?

Downtown appears in America's Elite #31 and Reloaded #8. AE #28 mentions him being stationed in Georgia, ex-USSR republic.

both downtown and heavy duty appear in the DIC animated GI joe TV series.
Downtown has a cameo in the 5 part opening series, and Heavy duty appears in the mainstream series and as part of the intro credits.
Heavy Duty is also featured in Marvel's comic run towards the end when the pit is being attacked (again), about issue 130/1

I don't think any of the Mega marines were used DA Larry Hama only used characters and vehicles he could justify in a story and refused point blank on quite a few

That's funny, because then he would become the only Mega-Marine without comic appearances ( :gungho: and Clutch have previous history with the Joes, while Mirage appeared in the Devil's Due comics with some recruits, one of them becoming Blackout).

In fact, since he is also the only one whop doesn't have former or later figures, I use him as a paranoidman obsessed with the Mega Marines' "Monster Hunting" type of work, even if he's fighting normal human :ctrooper: s.

Sandstorm (Dusty's coyote)? (this is a bit unusual, since it's about the less known companion of a well-known chara)

In the toy range they had 2 Dustys but because the first one wasn't killed off the second was never featured only the uniform and no Coyote
