I have never swopped parts on a figure before how do you take apart the arms on an ARAH figure and what tools would I need?
I am specifically wanting to take off the lower arms on a figure

Taking the lower arms from the upper arms above the elbow? It can be done but is very very tricky and when ive tried all ive ended up with are broken arms or cut fingers, there is a tutorial on joedios but cant find it now...
I always use whole arms to aviod this or at the most "glove swap" and dremel the arm below the elbow joint and attach another similarly dremelled piece but other people might be more accomplished at this...

im the same as far as the old arah figs go, some of the more recent ones can be boil & popped.
recently got a tamiya saw, which is great for guuting of hands/gloves & boots, check out my kraken/shad custom!
i wouldnt f*ck around with the elbow on the older figs, not worth the hassle & i would say has a 20% success rate!

I may be able to get a games workshop saw they sell tools for conversions or customising

Thanks for the help lads it would be handy to have some kind of customising thread to help members like myself who haven't done yet with maybe step by step pics

i was going to post some customising threads but attitudes towards arah stuff put me off as far as this site goes, & lets face it, there isnt anything challenging as far as palitoy stuff goes, no joint rubbing etc so not much point. started to change boots, gloves etc which is giving me way more scope with my customs.
recently found a shop that sells ritdye, so im going to start experimenting with that.

Don't let that get you down Ross I couldn't believe Paul before though trying to make out we are taking over he has been a member less time than I have so I resented his remarks but it's not getting to me
