Paypal tip: thanks to AnnieM!

I've been trading for a long time, but never knew this 'trick'.
Recently Annie did me a payment via Paypal. She sent me the money
as a gift. For me this resulted in no paypal charges! How cool is that! If you are a poweruser receiving a lot of payments, I don't think you will get away with it, but for the occasional trader it is a money saver!

Just done this too and it does work - it simply offers that you, the Sender of the payment, pay the fees, rather than the recipient having the fees taken off.
So it doesn't really avoid them, just ensures that the Seller gets the full amount agreed, which seems only fair.

I paid for lots of items at once for the first time last night, once for UK and once for US users and it sent both payments as echeques!! Nothing wrong with my account, card is up to date and later single payments went straight through as normal...
Now I have to wait an extra 10 days for stuff

No, there was nothing as I had a good look see the second time...
Searched on the net to see why it might have done it and several people have said it can randomly happen but I think it was connected with the multiple payment thing...
Got to wait for my uhura head

Maybe one of your sellers didn't take Paypal?

Uhm dont think so as you have to now dont you? Also all the payments show as uncleared not unclaimed...
Wish I hadnt added a £1.00 donation to help some animals or something...

Not sure if it may be playing up. I just sent an amount to someone I have sent to before with no probs and it is showing as "initiated". As if waiting to be claimed. And that was a one off, straight through Paypal send.

Ah, I didn't know that either. I thought we found a trick to avoid the costs whatsoever. Bummer...
