Awesome set of pictures! I love the hat on Bazooka! One day I must complete my Check Point Alpha. Great work!

Hi all,
Thanks for all the nice comments guys, it's been such a nice day that I started playing in the garden.
Yeah Andy, it took a couple of years & help from your good self & T.K.W. but it's complete now, except for not having any stickers, but I'm happy with how it looks :-D
So is there more than one way to drive this thing then Sundance? I always thought sitting up top like that looked a bit hazardous..Bazooka's hat was borrowed :. from Luke Skywalker, Footloose is wearing it @ the moment..I'm tempted to paint it with a camo pattern.

I think Sundance means the drivers are supposed to lie down on their stomachs in the 'cab' area. The top seat is for the gunner to blast the sh*t out of everything that moves.

I like your idea that the Palitoy stuff is from a long forgotten war. Kind of gives it the feel that the GI Joes are only around because the Action Force were victorious in the first place! Hoorah!

yeah, as shaunyboy said, in the GI Joe comic, Cross Country lies in the cab to drive the HAVOC against the Thunder Machine, while Slaughter mans the top guns. IIRC, there's on bit in The Movie when (i think) Beach Head is in the cab, but Roadblock, Quick Kick and someone else drive them from the top. and in Arise Serpentor, Arise Dusty drives one from the top.

Thanks Ross, I always thought the cockpit was a bit far-fetched aswell myself , if you want a low profile cab why not have the same layout as the Chieftian tank ?

B.t.w. I love this camo
Maybe it could have more than one driving position Sundance?
