Blood for the Baron!

Yesterday I put together my AF Fang, and I noticed a possible variation. The landing gear was totally flat on the bottom, where the normal GI Joe-version has a small ridge. Am I the only one with this variation, or are there more? The FANG I have is the black/ yellow one. Does the black/ red version also have flat landing gear?
