So, does anybody have any theories about the Red Shadow logo? The skull is clearly not human, there is a crest at the top and the teeth are like needles. The design predates both the Kraken and the Skeletron.
My money's on aliens.

i think it's based on a nazi army that have been doing genetic experiments to enhance the soldiers, experiments that have caused horrendous side effects, the logo represents the mutant creations that are perhaps underneath the red shadow mask.

Well it's likely that the logo is historical - maybe the Ironbloods are a dynasty with a very long heritage. As such the anatomical accuracy of the logo is moot.
However, assuming for a minute it is accurate anatomically - the ridge along the top is seen in animals such as dogs. Our muscles for chewing originate in the temple areas, but in dogs the muscles are far more powerful and attach to a ridge on the top of the head. Also (similarly to dogs) the cranium is small, so a being of lesser intelligence. It looks primal, if anything, anatomically.
I favour the logo beig associated with a historical legacy associated with the Ironbloods. Perhaps the red Shadows were originally pirates led by Captain Ironblood, an ancestor of the Baron. The Ironblood dynasty was founded on the stolen gold by Captain Ironblood...
