Melted Action Man Space Suit Debris !

Not sure if anyone had the vintage action man in space suit but it was made of a type of rubber material, anyway when i got my action man out from the loft i found his head had fell off which i have now fixed with help from a previous post.
The next problem i have to get around is the fact that the space suit that was in the loft with all my accessories rifles, helmets, grenades, belts, boots, dinghy etc... has melted all over them,
i tried heating with a hair dryer to get it soft to remove it but it didn't seem to get hot enough so i was wondering if anyone has had the same thing happen to them or if there are any tips on getting it off!
any help would be much appreciated as i realy want to get him on display,
many thanks

I wouldn't microwave them! Try soaking them overnight?

i think the microwave would more than likely melt the actual items what i dont want melted!
if left to soak overnight i think i would need to somehow find a way to keep it at a warm temperature as obviously once its cooled it starts to solidify again...

Can you post a pic of the carnage, please? I'd be very careful and would try water at increased temperatures starting from cold.

I've always found WD40 pretty usefull for cleaning & polishing up plastic..especially for getting wax crayon marks off, as well as old stickers ..

WD40 is fantastic for polishing plastic. Great for Hi-fi gear and tolex too. funny, the wife just went to get coffee and has plonked a can of WD40 she bought on my desk. Cue the twilight zone theme.....

Someone once posted here it was ideal for removing price tag residue from MOCs and MIBs
And, purely for SteveD's benefit, I can't help but notice at the bottom of that page it says:
