Manhattan Transfer
I only just remembered this thread. I was going to suggest that, as the cut-and-paste happened in the final episode, perhaps the artist was ill or otherwise rushed for time so someone stepped in.
However it's clearly just the AF guys who are the additions, which leads me to suspect that they were incorporated into the artowrk, maybe some exisiting promotional piece that meant IPC didn't need to pay Romero full whack perhaps?

Yes y'all are. The terrible artwork aggrieved me even in my youth.Ironblood wrote:I can't see what you mean either are we looking at the right story?
Almost as bad as when some baloney editor deemed it necessary to fly in an artist to draw Nu-Napoleon in a Rogue Trooper episode drawn by the mighty Cam Kennedy, probably about the same time; certainly the same era.
Hence, in my youth, I generally wept in the newsagents on a regular basis, usually about 0630 ZULU mid-week when the latest issues were available and my paper-round began. GBP 3.50 a week, for f*ck's sake. BASTARDS! At least the mighty Nimrod-Newspaper-Hitler is out of business, HAHAHAHAHAH*

* PS. That is obviously a random personal rant I waited 20plus years to get rid of. At least I got the family to move their subscriptions across the street after the f*cker's wife ripped my own copy of BFTB amidst an alcoholic fumble with 3D specs. HAHAHAHAHA fkn bitch, at least -22p a week fkd y'all over in the long run HAHAHAHAHAHA.
