A lunch break well spent?

I spent my lunch break at work today fixing up the old Action Men - reattaching heads and the like (not as easy as it sounds!) so thought I'd post my results.

Space Ranger is a really old "no kecks" variety, and needs some new hands, hence he has the Space Ranger outfit on, with it's big gloves.

SAS is, and always has been, my favourite.

Only problem now is I need more Action Men, to wear the other suits I've pieced together! Ebay, here I come.

Cool! Always nice to hear somethings rare! Thanks for that. I've had it since I was little, but it is perfect condition as I only had two Action Men for most of my childhood (the third one was picked up at a car boot sale a few years back), and one was always SAS, and the other always Orange Diver for bath time fun, so the Space Ranger suit rarely got worn.

Looking at it now though I love it - reminds me of Space Force Patroller.

I think you will find there heritage is the same. When I saw the SF patroller, the first thing I thought of was AM.

Completely agree about the AF Space Force being initially modelled on the AM Space Rangers [great figure by the way Steve!]

If you look at the original AF prototypes, the connection is even more apparent:

Wow - yes, I'd not thought of that about the prototypes.

Cheers Paul - although I think I may have to change the AM's in the suits - the Space Ranger is in an 80's suit but is a 70's AM. OCD wont allow that! He's got some new hands on his way from Ebay too, so hopefully he'll not be stood as if he's got a broken arm just to keep his gloves on much longer!

Unfortunately my earlier Space ranger suit has just had to go in the bin - it was like a powder blue rubber suit, with silver sash over it and had been screwed into a ball in a bag, and had welded itself together, and set rock hard, and was beyoned recovery, despite a night's soaking in water/fabric softener. Did they do a 40th repro of that too, as I still have the sash etc?

Chopper - I'm beginning to agree with you on this "fixing toys up" thing! ;)

Found this while I was poking around on ebay last night

The big version of Ground assault.. I'd never seen this before, wonder how much it will go for.
