Seeing the infiltration of spam on here has just got me wondering why these f*ck ups bother? I mean, I wonder how successful it actually is? How many people actual read the posts/emails etc and think "sh*t yeah! I've been looking for somewhere to get my viagra/steroids/rat poison painted blue/whatever else for ages, and now I've finally found it". I'd think it really not worth anyones while.
Reminds me of a very brief visit I had to Tijuanna a good number of years ago - they were hustling on the street for you to go into chemists. "we have viagra. we have aspirin we have..." I wasn't sure whether to punch them for questioning my power to "achieve wood" at then age 25, or ask why on earth I would want to buy knock off aspirins?
Sorry, rant over....

if i was looking for a russia bride which im not the first place i would look is the links section surely thats obvious!!!!!!!!!!!

As you so accurately point out, the whole idea of Spam is pretty hilarious!
That said, I absolutely HATE it.
Whether in my email, on my mobile, junk mail, cold calls and especially on our beloved forum - I just detest the stuff.
The people that create it should be shot in my oppinion.
[The wife keeps telling me that I should stop reading the Daily Mail by the way...]

The reason it is being sent is simple, it still works and creates turnover.
If one in every 2 million reacts, then it is already profitable. Given the fact that one in every 100.000 is a moron, the equasion is easy. Spam works.

I think you give people too much credit LJ. Just look at the sh*t that goes on in the world. Idiocracy anyone?
If I get spammed by anyone in any medium, I'll boycott that product/business regardless of what it is. The dinner time phone call is the most aggravating. Still if its been a bad day at work its great for spleen venting

I have a mate that suggested if its a woman on the line ask her what colour panties she's wearing. He CLAIMS he's never tried that with a bloke. I reckon the result could be faster.

I prefer Spam on bread with a bit of Mustard, same as my russian mail order brides.
