I just painted this german stormtrooper up to put in my Command center Jail.
not sure now tho wether or not to customise him further ?
the original idea was to cut and reset his arms and have a pair of handcuffs on him.
also looking for ideas for the fodder in the background........

Sorry cant help with the head, he was a one legged figure I bought for 20p in a charity shop !
The paint is Citadel "Blood Red" from the games workshop range.
the original body parts were dark green so I had to use a white undercoat first.

You could do a rag tag plattoon of Shadows post Resolution 9-0-9 like the one you have done? differing hair colours etc? Much like when you see them in School For Snakes?
Also....what are the best tools to use to crack open these older Palitoy type figures? Flat head small watch makers type screwdrivers? Scalpels?
Nice custom though. I'd arm him with an MP40 and make a removable Shadow helmet for him.....

Scalpel to the groin (the least visible area) and then ease in two thin screwdrivers and gently prise apart. Be very careful around the shoulders, as they tend to snap between the armpit and neckline.
But eher are many threads on techniques, that's just my ham-fisted method. Some people gently heat them in hot water first, but do check what they have to say about it.

One of the easiest customs I did a while back was using the Radio Operators type head and putting it on a spare

bod, I then painted

hat in the black/red colours of the

....
Always wanted a removable hat

will post a pic sometime....if I can be arsed....but it is a goodun.
