Cataloguing post BAF AF

This cataloguing thing is slow going. I'm just cross referencing data files atm. So it would seem that after BAF came along the backgrounds of tall the original figures was null and void? Stalker suddenly is from Detroit and not France? Ace was from Chicago and is now from Montreal? duke was from Boston and is now from St Louis? Scarlett was from Bruges and is now from Atlanta?
The guys at Marvel UK should have been shot....did any of the original AF figures keep their back histories (besides the classified ones of course)? Some of the post BAF figures are just plain nuts. Raptor primary speciality Assassin, secondary Accountant? Frick on a stick this is going to take a while. I think the way to do is to try and track down the lot and cross reference.
Also the BFTB toy archive doesn't have Snake Eyes? How'd that happen? Me thinks the Baron eliminated him;-)
Anyway, in summary I still need a copy of the 1997 GI Joe:The Action Force cataloges and any data files I can get hold of after BAF. Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

Snakes v1 was never released here!
Marvel UK was a restart, everything BAF was scrapped, the two really are unaffiliated. MUK was designed to tie in with Marvel US. The comic Datafiles are
here, but I'm afraid I have no cardbacks.

This is all truly bizarre. Snake Eyes appeared in BAF. Not late in the piece either iirc. Wonder why they did that? It follows from GP's comments on masks tho, that's probably one reason he was so popular, might be whjy they introduced him. Kinda cool tho, my Snake Eyes is a Toltoys variant - like most of my early figures. Seems even NZ got him;-)
Its kinda dumb tho, in regards to MUK. As the datafiles weren't even the same as GI Joe. If it had been me I'd have made the lot the same as their Joe counterparts as early as possible and attempted to tie in the jump from Euro to USA. I haven't read the MUK AF comics yet. Looks like it'll have to be on my to do list.
Getting their slowly tho mate. Just got the Melbourne cup and a weekend of hunting coming up so won't get a good look into it again till next week.
Cheers

It's the same with the Marvel comics, the UK run reprinted some of the US scripts out of sequence and as a result had to fill in the gaps with their own stories. The Marvel comic run UK and US also has no ties with Battle AF.
Sorry I haven't been any quicker in helping you with catalogues etc, I'll try and dedicate a few hours to catch up with your progress and see where I can help in the not to far future....I hope

one of those in enough for any one man. The UK carded firefly is high up my wish list, but had to pass on the last one I saw, seller was looking £70 not that I think that's unreasonable, I just don't have that at present to spend on my collection worst luck.
Have a good stint in the Outback If I don't catch you on the boards before you go, I'd better turn in now, have to get up for work in 5 and half hrs, Gavin
