Hi Ted and welcome.
There is always a great deal of discussion about these, especially the over inflated prices they go for. I think many of us just prefer to have the figure loose so we can put them "on parade". So graded figures aren't really for me.
Cheers

Graded figures ? Im my eyes thats blasphemy !
you cant play with a figure in a plastic case ! it seems totally pointless to me and totally negates the whole point of collecting.
just my opinion .... each to their own I suppose.
Fantastic username by the way !!!

Welcome to gang, Laser. I can see the merits of getting MOC figures graded, but so far the AFA Action Force figures listed on ebay have been ridiculously priced. It wasn't so long ago you couldn't give away MOC Mutons.

In my opinion I don't have anything graded nor want to, the stuff that I have MOC/MIB is only because they were my favorites and I wanted them that way to display along with the loose. Personally the money money one spends to have them graded is never worth the return, plus if your collection is so large of such pricey items that you wanted them graded for insurance purposes.... well in my line of thinking is if you had the money to buy all of that to start with you could buy it all again and save on the insurance.
So in summary I don't get things graded as I don't see the point. Toys are meant to be played with.

I think having an item graded is a seperate issue to opening them, keeping certain figures on their cards, and this is where earlier palitoy versions lose out, is good because not only do you get the unblemished figure but also the great artwork on packet.
In respect to the AFA asides from ensuring you receive the item in question and much more likely intact, the hike in price over a similar item in same condition ungraded is totally unwarranted.
