Hi
Desert Strike was always one of favourite stories and as a kid I always wanted a Gibli fighter figure to take on my Z force. Well now I've got one!!
My first 3.75" custom is simply one of the new Indiana Jones figures which I picked up from my local Woolworths this week with a few added extras and a Gibli symbol added to his clothing...

Hi
Thanks for the comments.... the original figure is by Hasbro and was £6.99 in my local Woolies (my local Toymaster has them too) I used the Sallah figure but I've also got the Cairo Swordsman (potential "Whispering one") and the "Monkey Man" (the spy from "Raiders...") I'm using the Monkey Man parts for a former Gibli fighter now in the employ of Cobra... (might have him as a brother/son/cousin of Major Maddi out for revenge on Action Force!!) At the min he's very much a WIP - planning to add a Gibli symbol around the Cobra emblem and I might swap his arms for the ones from the Monkey Man.
Comments always welcomed...
Cheers
Greg

Awesome! I cant believe how good that came out, was it a simple head switch? with the cape, I really really like this. Simple but soo effective, I wish hasbro would do simple things like this

Love it hes out for revenge and joined cobra to do it

Yep the head was pretty easy to swap (I just had to dremel out the inside of the head a bit... the ball on the "monkey man's" neck post is a bit smaller than the cobra trooper's and without the slight modification it sits a bit high on his neck) took about 5 mins to do!! I was planning to see if I can swap the arms over too (so that they match the cloak thing) - make it look like he's wearing a long sleeved robe over his Cobra uniform but I agree he does look pretty good as he is.
