Hello everybody!
Just thought I'd introduce myself and thank Jamarmiller for the speedy welcome.
I'm a Palitoy Action Force fan from the first-time around! "First Generation" I think they call it. I love Battle Action Force as well.
I'm only online a few times a week, but I'll stop by when I can.
Take care!

Space Commander displays eerie precognition skills by thanking Jamar for his speedy welcome on his first ever post, swiftly followed by a speedy welcome from Jamar!
Welcome aboard, mate!

"Space Commander displays eerie precognition skills..."
Ahh, The Force is strong!
Thanks for the welcome.
I found this place just by googling about. I and one of the chaps from work had been reminiscing about childhood toys and comics. We work in seperate warehouses and communicate with walkie-talkies, and by the end of the day we were calling each other "Space Commander" and "Arctic Assault"!

Oh, look!
<---
I've got a Space Force logo under my name. Thank you!
My Space Commander figure had a WATT logo on his chest even though I bought him here in the UK, not Germany. Weird, huh? But I like it, it makes him distinctive!

Yup, you'll be a member of Space Force until you hit 100 posts. Or if you like, I can make you a custom slogan and muticon. Is your mate Arctic Assault a member here too?

Not yet... but I'll mention it to him!
I was just wondering..., do any of you ever go on that youtube website? I used to go there a lot, but hardly at all nowadays. I'm sorry to say it, but it seems like a lot of the people who post there are very bitter and spiteful, and with little or no cause. Click on almost any clip, you'll see.
I mention it because awhile ago I went there and typed in "Action Force" (in speech-marks to prevent it searching for EVERYTHING with "Force" and "Action" in it!). At the top of the list of options was a clip of the opening titles of the Kenner / Hasbro inspired "Action Force" cartoon... which is very different from the Palitoy inspired "Battle Action Force" comic.
I like GI Joe, don't get me wrong, I'm NOT interested in starting a feud. But I must admit, I was shocked by the sheer amount of GI Joe fans who blamed we British for changing the name of the show. Wasn't it simply a case of Kenner buying Palitoy and selling Joes in Action Force packets? Why blame us? Ironically, Kenner was an American company.
Some of the stuff they were saying I'd go so far as to call racist. Maybe I need a thicker skin.

if you check the Action Man section out on the boards especially the reviews part of that section youll see lots of youtube videos that I posted about Action Man, so ya I go alot there, got about 42 vides posted at the momemt
And your right, youtube can be a very brutal place, I usually have to delete stupid comments a couple of times a week,
and your right, it wasnt the British who changed the name it was the American company who bought the british company. The American company saw that ACTION FORCE was popular over there and wanted to try to continue the concept ( even though like you said it was different from the Z-force years) , so your spot on both on what happened ( except the company was hasbro who 12 years later would buy out Kenner too ) and about youtube. ( and Im an American too ! )

Welcome, Space Commander! I'm an American too, who is just learning about Action Force and all the goodness about it. Incidentally, my dad's family is from Wales, so you're all like kinsfolk to me! Well,
some of you anyways!

I both love and hate youtube, I've found myself roped in to some pointless debates with idiots I must admit, but there's some pure gold archives on there.
I've added a [video] link option to the forum so that any decent vids can be plundered and posted directly onto the boards.
