Before beginning this review it is important to note that during the opening sequence we are informed that Action Man has amnesia and is not aware of how or where he has learned his fighting skills and weapons knowledge. It is important to note this at this does come into play during the episode.

We start with Action Man fighting in a martial arts contest in Hong Kong. As Action Man is being awarded his medal Ursula approaches Action Man and requests his assistance in protecting her from Dr. X

Ursula has quit working for Dr. X and wants Action Man’s assistance in escape from the city. Nock and Natalie are jumped by skull men as they leave Action Man’s tournament and Action Man and Ursula make their getaway in Action Man’s car.

A mysterious assassin follows Action Man to his hideout. It is discovered that this mysterious assassin is a member of a secret group know as the Accolades of Mayhem and that Action Man was once one of them !

The “Action Man†tattoo is actually a tattoo for the Accolades of Mayhem organization. Action Man leaves the team as he begins to doubt himself and feels that he can not be trusted, thus leaving Knuck in charge.

Action Man strikes out on his own to sneak aboard Dr. X’s Hong Kong Yacht. Once discovered Dr. X manages to trap him in a gas chamber

While Dr. X monologues about how Ursula is really still working for him and how he is going to use a computer virus to bring down Action Extreme headquarters. While Dr. X is busy monolouging Action Man manages to escape.

In the corridor of the sub, Action Man comes to a door with a computer lock. It's here that Action Man has his "memory flash" moment of the episode. As he is trying to figuure out the code he suddenly gets a flash back of a tomb stone! Who's Tomb Stone? he doesnt quite know, and neither do we! We never find out either. It's most likely the tomb of his adopted parent but again there has never been any official statement that I know of definately saying this. On the tomb we have the date of 1975 as the date of death. Action Man puts this number in and the door Opens. This piece of information will be vital piece of information later on in the series as Action Man pieces back his memory.
This also just goes to show what kind of Man Dr. X is. A sick and twisted man who would use a number like that as a code is one bad, bad man. But hey thats Dr. X for you , he is suppose to be bad!

Action Man races to warn his team that the disk provided by Ursula is a trap and is followed by Dr. X’s ninja/assassin Gem Eye.

Gem Eye and Action Man fight it out until Gem Eye is stunned by Natalie. Action Man is then informed by his team that the group Accolades of Mayhem was actually a hoax by Dr. X.

Comment By Jamar Miller : Above is the obligatory Different outfit of the episode so we can sell another Action Man toy in a different uniform . ( This was actually one of the request by Hasbro, to show Action Man in a different outfit every episode so they could sell it). But I think its a good one. I mean heck I would have liked to have gotten a Action Man in this Ninja / Martial arts uniform myself, if there was a 4 inch version!

Similar to the GI Joe PSA’s at the end of episode 1 Action Man tells us how to help save the planet by reducing, reusing and recycling.
Comments by Jamar Miller : We never get to see Gem eye again in the series so we never get to know what, when, why, and who he is exactly he is....... at least in the TV series but if you do want to know who he is Offically! Then check out Action Mans profile in the declassifed section
And check out the interivew with Phil Harnage and Bob forward to find out more about Gemeye as well :
Again another fine episode that was setting up a lot for Action Man and his mythos. Which would have been continued if there had been another season continued.
