E-Bay is already like a piece of Swiss cheese without adding this ridiculous rule. I myself have lost out through E-Bay’s and PayPal’s ‘policies’ both as a seller and a buyer. This new policy will do nothing but harm to E-Bay sellers it will leave them at the mercy of buyers. Buyers will be able to leave negative feedback knowing full well that the seller cannot do anything about it. If you try reporting things to e-bay all they do is ask for a ton of information then base their decision on money rather than facts i.e. the person they makes E-Bay the most money out of wins 9 times out of 10. This in turn will lead to retaliatory buying and negative leaving by the seller (maybe others as well) on the buyer.
Of course E-Bay can’t lose in the short term with all the extra money they will make but long term no one will want to do business with them for the reasons stated above.
This new policy will be great for people who just buy from E-Bay but it is the sellers who will suffer and eventually go elsewhere if E-Bay continues down this road.
What will E-bay do then?

As a relatively new seller/buyer. I can really relate to this. One negative feedback on me specially as a seller would ruin it all. It was really quite hard to sell at first because buyers need to be assured. 0 feedback or negative feedbacks would really put them off. Just one negative feedback wherein you cannot explain your side would be really devastating.

Are there sites other than eBay equally popular?

Many sellers refuse to give feedback untill the buyer has done so. Some sellers even threat buyers with a negative back if they don't give the seller a positive: retalliation negatives. Because of these practises bad sellers can stay in business for a long time.

A seller has enough ways of getting protection via eBay. If buyer doesn't pay, then don't send the item. Seller is always safe. If this plan is implemented then finally the reign of the seller is over. Worst case scenario example: buyer pays, seller sends some lousy sh*t with proof of shipment, buyer complains, seller tells buyer to shut the f*ck up or he will drop a negative, buyer drops a positive.

OK, that is one viewpoint...

As seller you will be put in a position of shark bait. Without feedback to buyers, more buyers will simply just drop a negative instead of solving the problem with their seller. Most sellers sell on eBay "just for a little fun". This new rule will certainly destroy that fun.

Personally, I think it is not such a bad idea to give the buyer a little more power, but the feedback system as it is works fine by me.

plus it is good if you want to save money so you can buy more action force like i did when i got money back off my banks


all in all ebay is going OTT in my opinion yes there will be good points but does that outweigh the bad?
only time will tell!
