The B.B.M.F.'s Lancaster bomber "City Of Lincoln", on her way home from todays Trooping Of The Colour ceremony, performed a fly past.

A pair of Scorpion tanks performed 'Ballet' in the arena, some amazing driving skills on show, theses things are surprisingly nimble:

A French AMX-13 tank, apparently one of only two (known) examples of it's kind here in the U.K.

A couple of re-enactment groups entertain the crowds with skirmishes:

Jeez dude, you honestly have a real eye for photographs - still or real life.
These are excellent, as Chop says, as usual.
Looks like you had a blast!

Cheers Paul :-)

Aye, Mark, airworthy Spitfires seem ten a penny compared to Hurricanes (with more being restored than ever before) while the poor old Hurri seems to be all but ignored :-(

Great pics thanks for sharing mate. Due a visit to Duxford with little humby soon. I only live 20 mins away so should go more often. Always remember going with my Grandad who was RAF Coastal Command and him telling me how he did'nt like the Catalina saying it was nothing comparted to the Sunderland. He also told me about a trip up to Scotland in an American B-17 to pick up a Christmas tree! They were short a gunner so my Grandad being one at the time volunteered to go for the jolly.

There is an airworthy Hurricane near my folks, Ed. Its a real treat to see, I think I have some old photos of her kicking around. The Hurri was the backbone of the BoB and first half of WWII in general. It deserves more respect IMHO. It could turn inside an ME-109 and that was a distinct advantage, pretty much the only one they had. I went to three airshows in the last 6 months, I guess I should put a few up for you Northerners.

F-22, F-16, F-18a and f, BAE Hawk, F-111, P3, P8, Catalina (Black Cat livery), Hudson, 3 P-40's - including a rare f, Spitfire, Yak-9, Meteor, Provost, Vampire, 2 Mustangs, DC-3, Harvards, and a few more I can't think of.

Please hurry up & post 'em ,Chop!

Great story there Humby, they've got a Sunderland.
I reckon both you & Humby Jr will have a fantastic day @ Duxford. Check out the Airspace exhibition as there's loads of interactive displays, explaining the basics of flight, to play on for us kids ;-)
