Space Force & Q Force

Where these the less popular forces? They seemed to die off in BAF quicker than

&
I think space force was my 2nd favourite force. Which surprises me now I think back - it should have been Z-force being logical about it seeing as they where more "army-like". I was never very keen on starwars either so why I decided space force was cool is beyond me... I suppose space force was introduced by palitoy to appeal to kids who like starwars and such like, I don't know I'm just guessing...
But I liked all the bits of equipment the space force figures had - the laser guns, the uzis, skyraider's cap, and the helmet on the pilot with the flip down visor. I even thought the flying brick (the cosmic cruiser!) was ace... I think I can remember using skyraider as eagle in civies whilst recreating the opening scenes of 'The Baron's Revenge'.
I can't remember if Duke and co ever went into space?
And as for Q- Force the only figure I had was the dep sea defender - I don't think I ever really liked Q-Force...

I was a fan of z force and sas force (z force being my favourite). I did have some q force stuff and very little space force.
SAS force and zforce managed to survive the crossover to Cobra, but I recall that the sas force appeared more often.

I didn't like the wave 1 of either range, but the Triad and Sealion both kick major ass, and they and their pilots both survived to the Duke era. Speaking of whom, Duke and Scarlett went into space in the classic Deep Cover finale.

Read Codename Moondancer and Codename Skyraider over the weekend - top stuff!
I've been reading the first few joe issues and was surprised that they venured into space as well.
Q-Force always seemed a bit Thunderbirds like for me, not very navy like more like a glorified coast guard - the sealion was decent though.

Forgot to mention I still cringe when I see the roboskull! Who in their right mind would build a spaceship shaped like a skull!! It would cost a fortune - on the cost benifit ratio it just wouldn't add up - i.e. plus side skull could look scary and might frighten your opponents in battle where as on the minus side it would cost a bloomin fortune!! Surely Ironblood wouldn't fund such lunacy!
Anyway enough of my ranting about the Roboskull - all that said Red Wolf is a top villian easily one of my favourite baddies.

Lay off the Roboskull, it's an awesome bit of VTOL kit!
We've discussed this all ages ago, it fits into the maniacal Eisenblut's insane design bureau protocols (Shadowtrak and Hyena anyone?) and of course his loony

and even

universe, all of whom are not exactly normal (though someone may beg to correct mich).
All those Roboskulls rocked in the Moondancer story, rolling around the Copernicus crater in their massed ranks, fuggin ay! If only it had been possible to own so many!
Meantime, what I want to know is what the fugg is

for, his poxy helo never fitted in to the original

Maybe I'll commit another heresy and extend that question to

too... Do they and their kit really fit into

like the APC and

fitted into

, the Hyena and Roboskull and Escape Armour fitted into

, and the Sealion into

?

One question though, did Q Force ever re-surface in ops against Cobra? The AF folk must have needed marine support at some point...

I know you do see the vechiles in later stories
