The Damaged MOC

Just a curiosity but wondering what people do when they get a damaged card with either the bubble coming off or small hole in it. Do you try and repair it or leave it as is? I ask as I have a few cards which are delicate and wondering how best to protect them.

Depends on the value of the item. High value, probably leave it, low value, meh, fix it. I had to put all my MOC in a box for storage, crap protection but it works. :-(

Once they are in an acrylic case that problem disappears for me. Otherwise, double sided sticky tape carefully applied works.

I'm with Paul - I bang thm into cases. Straightens out bendy cards, holds down lifting bubbles. If the bubble is a bit hammered I try to straighten it out a bit first.

With a lot of my cards in cases that is my option of choice but always worried the bubbles will fall off completely. Also when there is a hole in the bubble do you try and tape them to hide the deficit or leave it be as one of the charms of an old piece?

Oh I always leave them be. No matter how well you so it tape eventually looks worse. Even if you do it well. It eventually yellows & falls off!! Leaving residue.

And if there's one thing D knows, it's residue.

At least he didn't say sticky residue.

Does anyone know of someone in Ireland who would be proficient in recarding figures. Have one MOC which was heroically packaged but despite the best efforts has came off the card.

Was thinking i would try and remount it but afraid i will truly mess it up if i do it myself
