Reading through a pile of Action Force related bumf today...
I know we had a thread about this before the 'Great Crash of 2013' but what was your Action Force membership Codename and Number, according to FBR Munro-Deighton of the Action Force Recruitment Centre? And do you still have your plastic dogtag?
Mine:
Breaker
22098
Apparently, I became a member on 11/5/1984... who knew?
And does anyone here understand the following?
Code 3
hvy xfbyafft tdxzn znn!
BTW. Who the hell was FBR Munro-Deighton?
And is the 'Story of Action Force' as recorded in the personal log book recorded on this site anywhere?

Commonly thought of to be this chap;
I can't remember my number or joining date, but it would have been around then. Codename :CHOPPER"!!!!!!!
Pains me that I threw all my BAF and AF stuff out in a fit about 17 years ago. f*cking idiot, I am.

Herr Munro Deighton didn't get in contact with me until BST was well and truly over in 1984, orders arrived in the dark just before 0730HRS:
Barracuda
24270
I had been waiting weeks for Munro to get his scheiss together. Still have all the paraphernalia, just stored and locked up for reasons of national security.
Don't have a memory of the 'story of action force', just the code-slider, dogtag, membership data, and the dolbyfied splendour of eternally wailing that was 'The Baron's Revenge'. Perhaps that autumn/winter the cassette replaced the book?

Very interesting, Herr Quickfire.
I never had the cassette, and in fact knew nothing about it until that glorious day in late summer 2009 when I thought:
"I wonder if anyone has written about Action Force figures on the internet?"

"oooh, that site looks promising... Blood For The Baron. I bet it's chock full of totally normal and adjusted people who have scholarly discussions of the socio-political meaning behind Action Force, and it's status as a toy-based manifestation of fear in a post-Falklands, mid-Thatcherite society"
