Beware the Wolf

Hi guys, I'm not sure that i'm allowed to post this but if not then I fully understand if it gets pulled. I have recently had my first "Bad experience" on eBay and thought i'd warn others to the seller. Firstly I'll explain the story (Cue dream sequence)...

I found on eBay this auction:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370854597157? ... 1439.l2649

Image

Originally he wanted about 200 Euros which was a bit much and after asking him some specific questions, is the card definately sealed etc.. He lowered it and I happily bought the item. When I looked at the close up later on my iPad I noticed a couple of issues, possible glue marks, a slight shift in the bubble (Look at the writing on the right hand side) I sent him another message asking to verify and he swore faithfully that the figures were never removed and were in fantastic condition.

So, a week later it arrived and all I can say is there's more superglue on it than in the Loctite factory! the Psyche-Out has paint wear to the head and the white residue you get from superglue vapour is all over the black accessories. I immediately contacted eBay and have opened a case, eBay credited me with the cost of shipping it back to Belgium. I'm fully confident in getting a full reinbursment for the cost so I'm not to upset there BUT as you can imagine the guy has started to be a jerk and is saying I lied to ebay as I've mentioned the word "Forgery" and I can guarantee he's just going to say i've pulled a switcheroo! Anyways, beware the guy! If you could have seen the mess that turned up even my wife could see the issues with it! He reckons "He never noticed anything" I find this VERY hard to believe as there was a glue trail all around the top edge of the bubble!

All I'm saying is be carefull! There's more to this story as I know another big UK collector that recently bought another Night Force 2 pack from him, turned out the accessories were incorrect and there was tampering with that card too, luckily he won it for a bargin!

Auch........so he was really as bad as you feared.......really sad :(

I am sure Ebay will be able to reimburse the full cost, especially when you have all the conversation in writing and pictures to show for it.

Yeah, I'm only communicating via the resolution centre and his messages to me are saved so there shouldn't be an issue! Luckily I haven't sold my yellowed pack so I still have the set!

That's why it's so frustrating that this 2 pack has been a mess up! I've almost taken a step back buying the carded set :-( I may just try buying another loose psyche out just to avoid the frustration.

OK boss, it's

seller:wolfy2578

his name is Christophe DeWolf

Just to add, he's stating that this was "Negligence" rather than "Fraud". Normally I would agree but when you have a clear glue track all over the card it seems pretty far fetched that it was not noticed! The white glue vapour is also a bit hard to miss! Maybe this seems brutal of me but if I had any concerns I would never make a post like this!

He's now saying that ebay told him he doesn't have to refund me anything, basically he a prick! Plain and simple.

On another note Travis, were you selling a MOC tunnel rat/ psyche out 2 pack ? As I'd be very interested ;-)
