Thanks guys, it's always a great day out.
There's so much to see you'd probably be there all week & still not see everything.. of course I came home with a couple of souvenirs from the (massive) market ;)

From Alan Hall's stand, a basic 40th A.M & die-cast (Ertl Force One) AK47 for him:

I think I could have enjoyed the 40's. Without the war and all. Nice pics mate.

Yeah, the 40's would of been great if it weren't for that horrible Mr Hitler and those tiresome Nazi types, eh Mark ;)

Here's some pictures, which I took this afternoon, @ a local model club show.

Yoda, here, was about 6" tall:

Some of the 1:35 scale figures are amazingly detailed:
One for Chop' here, a couple of Aussie S.A.S. guys 'Camming Up' prior to a mission

Some of the larger scale figures:

These 'Flats' are a real art form, basically an almost flat 2 dimensional sculpting painted to appear 3D:

None of these beautifully painted models were made or painted by myself, it's been 20+ years since I done any form of model making, I just pointed the camera at them & press the button.

Cheers

Some awesome pics again, Ed. Makes you want to give away model making.

Hi all,
Spent a pleasant couple of hours @ the Newark Air Museum this afternoon, it's not very a large museum, but as you can see there's some great aircraft on display:

Never having seen one of these close up, I was surprised how small the Mig 27 really is..
Image
From pictures it looks much larger than it really is.

One item that especially stood out for me was this:

A wind-tunnel model of the Hawker Siddeley P12.16, a proposed short-take-off-and-landing fighter which never passed the design stage.

Thanks for looking.
