Well well, Fancy seeing you here Firefight fans and it's not even Friday-(unless you do happen to be reading this on a Friday of course). You want to see this A.S.P. custom then? Of course you do.

If you thought that I was just going to post a simple A.S.P. repaint custom then you don't know firefight. If my sneaky ruse is undetected by Red Baron then I think his tail feathers might get a bit ruffled when he finally sees this.
Hi Baz ;)

Now I don't want to sound double cock(pit)sure of myself but I think that this has his Z-Force jet well within it's sights and is good enough to
grasp[*][/i] the September COTM. [*]sorry I thought I had run out of those too. ;) We'll have to wait and see but at the very least he should get some flak for his wife helping him. -is she the true talent? :)

Unfortunately Cobrastickers.com don't do replacement A.S.P. stickers.(it's a long story, people didn't want to put their fisto in their stinkor or something like that). No one was willing to yield four cannon shields either; maybe they were just aspic (jelly.) ;)
It can rotate through 360 degrees on the swivel base but it can't pivot up 90 degrees like the original could. Still, mine's got more guns and a canopy to keep the rain off, so swings and roundabouts really. In a nod to the original there is a removeable (magnetized) generator cover.

Rolling along on the asphalt highway to the danger zone? (yeah I know it's a table)
So you probably want to know what I used to help create such a jazzy custom? A lot of blood, sweat and tears. :drumroll: Oh yeah, plus half a Dragonfly, the lower half of an A.S.P., another set of A.S.P. guns, Coastal Defender radar dish, Shadow Trak driver compartment, Devilfish rear panel, Swamp Skier skis and a shampoo bottle lid.

Somewhat ironically, like finding the right kind of shampoo, it took quite a while to find a suitable part for the "neck" section linking the cockpit "head" and swivel base "shoulders".

Drilled through and bolted it together.

So there it is.
The Cobra Assault System Pod:Twin Snake.
My debut bid at COTM glory in all of it's glory. :)
cheers,
firefight.
ps. Before he asks, yes it's tasty, a bit like asparagus meertoh. ;)

Absolutely brilliant! Well done. Did you have a scrap Dragonfly and wanted to come up with a use for it? I have a few scrap vehicles that are missing so many parts its not worth sourcing so I'm always trying to come up with uses for them.

Thank you. The Dragonfly had a lot of broken parts on it, lots of bits snapped off here and there. I've managed to recycle the lion's share of it; I've another custom in the works that utilizes some more of it's carcass. ;)
cheers
firefight.

:surrendered:
Great custom firefight. Fantastic to see wrecks and spares come together in a new way.

Oh, and yes, my wife deserves all the credit for my work- she has to put up with a child as a husband. Look forward to seeing you win COTM ;)

Thanks fellas! I'll start work on my COTM acceptance speech now shall I? ;)

No can do I'm afraid T-shirt. It would look pretty cool as a Shadows vehicle, Red Scarab I could call it perhaps. I've made my colour palette choice however, and I'll stick with it to the bitter end. ;)

thanks Baz! May the best man child win!
Now, I'm not discounting all the other customisers without good reason; for example:
Dark Horse is probably far too busy to enter. I imagine he's still decorating Castle Gayskull. Sorry I meant Grayskull (that was a typo).
Humby- too busy plagiarzing my Diamondback custom. ;)
Wolfman (Wolforrest)- he's still growing, still learning, he's not big or bad enough yet. ;)
cheers,
firefight.
ps. Who blabbed to Red Baron? Some guy with a boner for Skeletor I'm guessing.. :.
