Remember Meertoh's excellent :zforce: custom of the Vamp?

Well, took me a while to figure this out. The British Army now has a few Panther (hmm... :stalker: sounds familiar?) CLVs manufactured by Iveco.

This LMV chassis is a big earner for Iveco. The Italian Army uses the basic version as the Lince (Lynx), many other European armies are using different variants, different modular armour configurations etc.

But, on the shelf, you can buy another version, the SF LMV. If I had access to Jane's 1k per annum dbases it would be easy to find the marketing picture set, but you'll have to settle for these:

and a bit clearer

 So, you could basically make a 1:1 scale :zforce: Vamp custom if you wanted to ...

Still can't remember the origins of the :zforce: Attack Cannon, think it was Finmeccanica in the 80s rather than Rheinmetall or Oerlikon, but would need to go into a library with old copies of Jane's Land Army volumes as would appear to be out of production the last twenty years.

Anyway, back to Saturday afternoon it is then.

That reminds me..I was watching this video the other day:

The M.M.S. is a pretty accurate toy of this weapons system & that little tracked reloading vehicle would be a great custom project for someone.
Rather a strange choice for :sas: equipment, I've always thought it would be better suited fo :zforce: myself

The MMS was re-released as a Cobra missile system for the Rise of Cobra line with Scrap Iron as its operator.

Here's a link to the Hawk missile system (MMS):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawk_missile I already have some plans to do a custom tracked resupply vehicle.
I was thinking about another custom and thought that the leg pieces on the Cobra version (SMS) would be great for it as black ie no paint rub but I have a feeling even this one or the new POC one are hard to get hold of?
I only want the 2 fold down legs and the pull out leg.

Hans Jorge, that is a splendid bit of detective work!

It certainly looks like 21st Century Hasbro designers were influenced by the Iveco Lynx just as their 1980s predecessors were by the Lamborghini Cheetah.

Here's another custom that is similar to the BA Panther:

Danke schoen Herr Meertoh, took a while for a few brain cells to klick and make the link.

Currently in Mongolia and could do with one of them. Probably with a heater though. Which is a bit soft but it's -31.

Still waiting for the day i can id the z force attack cannon. Atc may have a western analog too, but always easy to assume it's based on the soviet 8 wheeler rather than western apcs.
