im sure the lot of you manic action force lovers will know of this carded figure variant
and so im hoping for a bit of an insight on it and maybe a possible valuation
i have just aquired such figure moc and wondered about it as at 1st ill be totally honest with you... i was just buying the figure nothing special i thought i always liked the baron figure as a kid and i always pick up action force figures when i come across them
9 times out of 10 they are at a price i can stomach
this particular carded figure is ex factory stock.... same as any other action force figure ive owned
i picked it up as i was clearing out some old stock from a warehouse which has been closed for the last 5 years and in that warehouse they had old stock dating back 30 odd years, i specialise is clearing such stock and so the owners called me in to take an exclusive look around
glad they did i came away with over 100 original carded star wars action figures on return of the jedi and tri logo cards
very pleased about that... and amongst other vintage items
i was going through some of the action force that i aquired to give them a little wipe down with a wet wipe as you do... as when you find items in factory and warehouse like this you would be supprised how dirty they get, you would think they would be mint A1 clean as a whistle... figures lying around get that dirt on it i like to call it petina lol but even figures sealed in boxes get dusty and dirty its amazing... and yes even case fresh figures come out of a sealed case with crushed bubbles LOL so its something that the factory will have done being heavy handed with them or poorly packed and poorly shipped cases
anyways im giving the baron a good rub down and low and behold i spot something different about it, any carded baron ive had before now has had a uzi machine gun in the weapon bubble section... this one has what i thought to be a han solo... greedo among other early star wars figures..blaster, run a bit or research on it and sure enough it is a star wars blaster in the weapon section
cool im thinking i can cut the bubble open and make use of that weapon haha yes that was my 1st thought
decided to have a look around the net, other than here couldnt really find anything on it as it was in the archives here, looked on ebay couldnt see anything there
so... before i go cutting it open and putting a uzi inside haha how much should i expect the figure to fetch as i may infact decide to part with afterall thats what i do...im a dealer/collector
i very much like the piece but will part with it if need be
if anyone wants to see pics so you can be sure i havent done the opposit and cut the bubble to put the blaster in LOL
thanks for your time
and thanks to the baron for having me
