The 1982 toy archive

Something that has been irking me for some time now but I've not been able to put my finger on it... The 1982 range seems to me a mixture of two sets of toys. I'm considering splitting the archive into the Mini-Action Man historical figures and the first range of Action Force, like so:
Action Man in miniature:
2 Para
Australian Jungle Fighter
British Marine
Commando
Desert Rat
German Stormtrooper
SAS
SAS Frogman
US Paratrooper
Action Force
Arctic Assault
Commander
Deep Sea Diver
Frogman
Ground Assault
Helicopter Pilot
Mission Pilot
Mountain and Arctic
Naval Assault
Night Patrol
+ vehicles
Anyone think this is a good idea?

No, just me getting a bee in my bonnet about WW2 Germans alongside the non-specific Assault figs. I guess I want to separate the Action Man from the Action Force.

Ah, Krackers would be right then. Don't forget, there were Germans and Shadows fighting Cobra.....

I'd definitely not split it. They are all wave 1 Action Force, their origins before that aren't relevant.
ANd where do you stop? Arguably the Arctic Assault, DSD and Frogman (to pick but a few examples) were still Action Man in miniature???

Hmmm, true. I was going with historical vs 'modern' day / fantasy.

It works fine for me as it is.
I have often thought it may be useful, for those unfamilier to the range, to have some kind of thumbnail image of the toy next to the figures name. Most people may not know what the toys name is but could instantly identify a picture.
Would it be possible to have a scan of a cardback (or catalogue page), for each year, & when you click on the item you're looking for..say for instance

... it takes you to the relevent pages?

That would be pretty damned cool.
