Help with GAUCHO,
Posted: 27 Jun 2006 14:21
My girlfriend recently won an e-bay auction for me which included what appears to be a GAUCHO figure in the lot.
Not a problem you may think.
The problem is that the figure was sitting in the turret of a vehicle so only the upper portion was visible, and therefore i have to be prepared that the crotch peice and legs are missing.
What i plan to do if i have to is use the bottom part of Gung-ho to complete the figure, now this is where you the experts in customization may be able to help a complete novice.
What i'd like some advice on is what paint should i use to match the z-force green and finish the black highlights such as boots?
Is it one i can buy from a model shop or would i need to make a new mix, also how would i prepare the legs to be painted?
I used to collect games work shop models so i know you had to put a white prepainted layer on those so the paint adheres but is it the same for the plastics AF figs are made of.
Sorry to ask so many questions as i know some of you guys had to spend alot of time to suss out these secrets, but Gaucho is a pretty important find for me and i'd like him to look good on display, also as i'm using a pretty top notch gung-ho for parts i don't want to ruin him for nothing.
Thanks for looking and reading.
