SAS Force Beret colours

Hi all,
Well I know figure wise they never made an SAS figure with beret.
In the Battle Action Force however we DO see them wearing the beret.
Now if you have noticed the colourists of the comic have coloured them in TWO colours.
Sometimes we see the SAS Force beret in GREY & Sometimes we see the SAS Force Beret in Sand colour.
Now we know the Sand colour beret IS the colour of the British SAS beret.
So with that I`ve set up a Poll on the beret colour........

Here you go about BOTH Berets.

Are you sure the grey isn't the colourists taking licence with black? (ie like Judge Dredd's blue leather highlights)

That`s a possibility Baron.
Though I`ve noticed when berets are worn in colour sections it`s a solid GREY colour with the SAS Force logo Metal pin beret badge.
So they have designed a Beret for SAS FORCE,so i`d say due to the solid Grey colouring & also the Unique SAS Force Beret Badge.
One colour cell that I recall has Eagle in Grey/Black camo uniform & with GREY beret on.

So that again adds that it`s NOT a shading issue.
Then later in the comics we see Eagle with the Sand beret of the British Army SAS.

Which leads me to believe there is a SAS Force beret/badge & those assigned to SAS Force from the British Army SAS. So both options become viable in that respect.

I would agree with Steel Bonnet, Grey berets for special assignment to Action Force and the ordinary Sand coloured for normal assignment in the regular forces.
Incidentally i would consider that the Action Force SAS squad is more of a UN type formation taking the best of all international counter terrorist forces and forming them in to an elite squad with new berets and badges to highlight their position as the best of the best.
Eagle as a member of the original British SAS would be intilted to wear the sand coloured beret as well as the grey beret to highlight this,
in the same way as those members who served with other foreign special forces would be entitled to wear those berets and insignia as well as the grey one.

I reackon that the berets should be grey, for SAS force not Brit SAS, with any Brit SAS being allowed the traditional sand beret, or sand for when mingling with none AF.
