The only member of the Red Shadows to volunteer for Baron Ironblood's super soldier program, and ironically, the only survivour. A culmination of Terminator, Red Laser and Red Mercury's latest innovations, Kain was subjected to complete body prosthesis, mercury blood transfusion, adamantium bone enhancements, and positronic brain upgrades. He is now a walking arsenal, equiped with a vulcan cannon/ blade arm attachment, crushing claw, bionic legs and eye laser.
However, the super soldier program caused Kain to descend into madness, his only speech now comes in the form of quotes from William Shakespeare. Unpredictable, irrepressible and highly dangerous, Red Maniac is as much a threat to the Red Shadows as he is to Action Force.

Captured by the Red Shadows, Mantis did not need much persuasion to enlist. As the Red Shadows chief medical officer, Red Mantis continues her research on captured Action Force victims.

A captured Pakistani scientist experimented on by the Red Shadows top scientists, Qasim's own bio-regenerative research was used against him. Baron Ironblood merged Qasim's life work with that of Red Mantis's immortality serum and created Shadowblood - a new compound that would create a new race of soldiers. After high dosages of the Shadowblood formula, Qasim's entire body has become a viscuos, oozing mass of death that can adapt to any situation. Now called The Black Shadow, he seems impervious to all forms of weaponry - if blown apart, his gelatinous body simply reforms. Retaining his intelligence but totally obedient to Baron Ironblood, The zombie-like Black Shadow can morph any part of his body into an organic weapon or tool. He can scale any surface, or fit through any gap or crack. He can also make his skin as hard as rock, enabling blunt force trauma weapons to be created from his limbs. Although unconfirmed, it is thought The Black Shadow needs regular doses of Shadowblood to keep him alive.
