I've added them to the first post in this thread, Jonesy. That's the link they all head back to, creating a perpetual spiral of madness.jonesy1275 wrote:Sounds fantastic. I vote for the first ever Action Force convention/piss up to be held there.![]()
Has anybody got links to the other forums that are talking about F Force? I went onto Hiss tank but couldn't find any thread.
Couple of level heads on Hisstank today, I think Volleydan is one of our boys.
Now that's interesting, could very well be shorthand. No way they were SW Force though...meertoh wrote:It's possible that the "Special Weapons F" stands for "Special Weapons Force"
Perhaps they hadn't decided on a final name for the team.

I know a lot of people on this board are new to the collecting community, but let me just say that the folks over at BFTB have solved one of the biggest mysteries in GI Joe history here.
Since I first became interested in collecting as an adult ten years ago, people have wondered just where this strange gray Flash came from....Ron Conner even offered a reward for information leading to its origins (since he owned it and didn't even know where it came from).
Was it an unreleased "Listen N Fun" Flash?
Was it an unreleased item from the Q Force line?
Was it from South America?
Now, thanks to the work of Dave Tree and the BFTB staff, we have the answer. I would think that deserves a bit better treatment than to be dumped in the "spam" category. 90% of the people who post here seem to have no concept of the rich history of GI Joe - this should be front page news so they can start to learn about it.
Go get 'em tiger! They'll probably ban you now for free thinking or something Dan!

Well, we're frontpage news at http://www.yojoe.com - they'll always be the number one Joe site on my book.
I suspect that most of the Hisstank members are very young.
Or a bit thick.

I think I can speak for Eddie as well when I say that YoJoe is an amazing resource. The only bugger is trying to hide what the office printer is churning out when you want copies of blueprints
I like Bill's suggestion about the jealous stick - made me chuckle

Re: NewsFlash!
Just been reading some of the other threads on the links too. Lot of non believing going on.
Dave - as your legal advisor, and as an officer of Her Majestys Courts, duly appointed by the Secretary General of the Law Society of England and Wales, and the Master of the Rolls, shall I knock you up a formal verification to confirm your findings to be true to convert some of the non-believers?
Okay, here goes:-
"It's real.
Dave was really in the Queens Dungeon, where she keeps her toys, and he found this figure. Love and kisses, SteveD"
There - that should convince them once and for all?

Re: NewsFlash!
Re Pisstank, It would be easy to get drawn in which would inevitably lead to a slanging match. Best thing we can do is let them annoy one another until they implode. Besides, I rarely feel the need to f*cking justify myself.
Getting back to SWF, looking at the grey camo design on the figures leads me to wonder if the grey camo design on the MMS missiles was part of the early picture. I also suspect the HAL would have been included in this range, as the original US toy was sold with Grand Slam.

So, is Bombardier a repaint of Flash or Grand Slam? Why doesn't the yojoe archive reference the similarity?
Good call on the FLAK, that never sat right in
