FYI, with the new version of IE I avoid all the problems Lady Jaye just described. Although I used to go through the same routine as him, but not anymore!

If that makes sense.

Sehr geheerte Eisenblut

Whilst not having any tech skills, seems like some of the 'internal' bftb links are broken again, such as links to jpgs from elsewhere on bftb etc in forum posts e. g. end of viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6321&p=73450&hilit=flirting#p73450

Am assuming it's either a prob at my end or another re-run of the Afghan dio-drama.

Not urgent!

:quick:

PS. OTherwise all is spick'n'span. Though feeling a bit conflicted about the pdf comics, wasn't the old format cbr or something ?? Always worked nicely. Now a wee bit twiddly.

Yeah, sadly all the images locations have been altered. I too prefer .cbr files, but .pdf is much more the industry standard, most people already have Acrobta installed. I personally am wary of any site that asks you to install an .exe so was never really happy about it.

The other thing is that now it is much harder to open up the download files and remove the BFTB tag, as was being done by our chums on the 'bay.

Ok, alles in ordnung Eisenblut. Will maybe edit the images one lazy day. Understand about .cbr - tho always trusted bftb, falcon squadron etc. - but you really sure that the greendeezel vvunkers won't copy pdfs and just cut and paste accordingly?

Not trying to be negative ...

:quick:

PS. Otherwise everything looks ganz einfach klasse, danke dir.

I've not been able to extract pdf files so easily as cbrs, I expect it can be done though.

For reference, you need to add "images/" prior to the page name. eg what was once

http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/comics/baf/001/001.jpg is now
http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/comics/ ... es/001.jpg

Have fun!

Extracting individual or sets of pages from .pdfs is do-able, (I've extracted comics into jpegs before so my kid can view them on his xbox screen), but I'm not going to spell out the technique here in case any scally reads it.

Ripping the BFTB logo off the comic fronts for ebay? What a bunch of twats.

I wonder if there's any automated (therefore quick and easy) way that you could watermark the comic scans?

i extracted the Footloose and Iceberg profiles to create my wallpapers, so it's possible and quite easy...

I sent you direct links for those pages, didn't I?

Watermarks is the final option, but I really hate the idea.
