Was good to be back Steve, but was in Indonesia and the eternal verities of Palitoy preaching were compromised by a beyond awful internet connection [several meaningful replies in this thread were thus lost, to be reconstituted later] and work commitments.

Currently in neutral territory awaiting outcome of Afghan elections. RIP the admin guys nuked two days ago point blank. Everything hangs in the balance, from the troop surge to troop withdrawal to the Russian worst-case contingency.

Yeah, old skool. The straight-legged guys drop straight into effective firing positions - their arms were made for at ease, or nestling their weapons while tabbing or identifying targets through iron sights for direct fire.
