CRACKED IT!

I've stolen the code for the "Stop Snowing" button and placed it in the Board Index box.

Never! Personally I love the effect and can take some CPU bashing to have it - I can't see a massive difference in performance so far (sounds like my missus, talking of bride's nighties). But nice to have the option all the same.

I've just removed all of the other javascript* from the rest of the site in favour of flash - what stopped working when you disabled Java, please?

* barring the Mutour map and homepage bookmarks feature.

SONOFABITCH! I just hit the "Mark forums read" button again instead of "View unread posts" - apologies if I miss out on answering any questions.

I'm ripping that bastard thing out right now.

In google Chrome the board is running smoothly! :D

Can this button return? Because now I have to log out and log in to make the "view new posts" work!

Seriously? It's working for me. What about the 'View Unread Posts'?

Anyone else got the problem? I swear you keep inventing new glitches just to f*ck with me, Jaye.

No really, I am not bullshitting you.

Normally (with IE) I log in (automatic), press "new posts" to see, well erm, new posts. After replying I log out (= also marking all unread messages as read), thus discarding all messages I have not read yet. Next time I log in the unread messages do not show up again in the new post list.

The automatic log-in plugin I use in IE does not work in Google Chrome. Now I log in and make Chrome remember the password for next visit. In other words, virtually, I stay logged in permanently. If I don't log out, the messages are not being discarded. If I press "new posts" the entire list shows us again. Does it make sense what I am saying?

It is not a really a big problem, but the button "mark all messages read" does do the trick for me. No urge to solve it, if you like it this way! :D

I'll have a fiddle, my problem was the button location, I hit it twice by accident instead of 'view unread posts' and obviously lost track of what I hadn't read yet (as the mod I need to check every post).

Jim, don't bother for just one person!

It appears I have cracked it!
