OK, we're out of time. I've juggled Jamar's questions down to two, added my and Space Commander's questions, and included pocoyo_joe's question which was missed out the last time. I have been assured we will have plenty of notice for the next round! Here are our submitted questions, I hope that everyone is happy with them.
Hasbro Q&A wrote:1. Given that the Crimson Guards first appeared in the 1985 GI Joe wave of toys, were these red uniformed enemy figures inspired, at least in part, by the success of the similarly outfitted Red Shadow toys that were such a huge hit with kids in Europe pre-1985?

2. With the International logo being present on Ninja-Ku and Glenda, are there plans to do more releases based on international characters? If so, why were the South American characters chosen first when the European Action Force characters have a larger and more active fan base?

3. Is there any chance that variants could be made of the Ninja Ku and Pilot Scarlett to more accurately reflect the original characters, please? For example Ninja Ku was renamed as Storm Shadow and had white skin, rather than the original darker tone, and the upcoming Pilot Scarlett (Glenda inspired repaint) has red hair not blonde.

4. There seems to be some confusion as to how GI Joe became involved with the international ranges. If more international heroes are revamped and released in the future, please would you consider adding a very brief explanation on the cardbacks as to which companies produced those figures before being bought-out by Hasbro?

5. And if you were to release any 25th anniversary Action Force figures, please could we have characters other than the nine original GI Joe repaints? * Rather than giving us a new set of these, please would you consider casting other Action Force characters instead? We would love to have a fully poseable Baron Ironblood and Black Major!

* Gaucho (Gung-Ho), Jammer (Stalker), Quarrel (Scarlett), Steeler (Steeler), Stalker (Snake Eyes), Blades (Tripwire), Hunter (Cobra Officer), Red Jackal (Destro) and Red Laser (Cobra Commander)

Love the questions there perfect!!!, the only thing Ill say is IF we get any ACTION FORCE characters done it will definately be repaints first, to test the waters and because new molds are very expensive to use.

Its really our best shot to in getting characters like Baron Iron Blood and Black Major Done. Theyre going to have to do repaints first and if they go over well then well see new version of the jointless guys

but anyway great job in getting those questions put together Baron and great questions everyone!

Next time;

1) Where is Ground Zero?
2) Is Skeletron a solo character or army builder?
3) Is Skeletron a dead Kraken?
4) Why are there so many Mutons?
5) Will there be a 25th anniversary Roboskull?

I think I can answer numbers two and three pretty clearly...

NO and NO!!!

Ill be surprised if someone doesnt suddenly decide that after the dead Krakens have been turned into Skeletrons they get the dead Skeletrons and pop them inside a Muton suit.

That would explain the abundance of Mutons at least...

Well done, everyone!

If we can get the truth across to the GI Joe fans about how Action Force became merged with GI Joe, (instead of the unpleasant version of events currently circulating), maybe they'll accept our characters and give Hasbro more reason to produce them.

And if we do get :baron: , :major: , and / or :shadow: , and the GI Joe fans embrace those figures as we are bound to, maybe we'll get :skip: , :eagle2: , :levi2: , and :skyraider: too!

:skyraider:

Hmmm, upon closer inspection Skeletron does have five fingers and toes, while Krkaen has three fingers and a thunb, and three webbed toes. Plus my earlier comment on the beak as opposed to teeth and I'm starting to wonder if TKW may not be completely barking after all.

OK, here's the answers!

1) It is hard to say for sure…but the Red Shadow influence in the US was high.

2) No plans for any more international tribute figures in 2008.

3) There are no plans for this right now. These are meant to be tribute figures which can also appeal to the greater masses of fans of GI Joe.

4) Great suggestion. We can look into this.

5) There are no plans for this right now, but thanks for the feedback.
