No problem, as it's your board and I totally understand. Maybe canon was the wrong word, but the whole sub-section thing would work too.

There are plenty of custom figures to choose from, Momaw. All mine have file cards and a lot of other chaps here do the same.

Yeah, ever sense I found out about international Joes, I have started making some customs of the characters. I have a few that I started in 25th style, but I just like to know about the character I'm making and it stands that these characters are lacking in many ways there. Almost like a great show they play for one season and leave you hanging at the end

. It's bad enough when they cancel one that has been on for a while and give you closure, but to just get you into it and then end, is not right. That is how I feel with AF, like they stopped in the middle without giving you some closure.
I guess if anything, we can come up with some really great fanfic ideas for them, right?
It looks that I'll have to do that with Argen 7 too, as there isn't much information on them ether. Already had some ideas about a few of them too, like Invasor. Thinking of tie-in with Snake Eyes, with maybe it was him in the beginning, but that's in my Joe world. That is one character that has so many stories that conflict with each other

, you have to just about think of him in only one to have him make any sense in your world though.
Anyway, I should have something for your guys on Ironblood within a few.

I always felt the story was pretty complete, bar the origins. We had World Enemy number one then finally CC going nuts. Quite well done I thought. I also thought the change from BI to CC was well done too, so I consider that VERY canon.

Canon that i'm hoping to undo.
i have a plan and it is a cunning plan, more cunning than a fox.
i'll PM you in a couple of days Chops if i get a chance to scribble some notes and you can let me know what you think.

As far as done well, yes, but on completeness the jury is still out. I just felt like reading the comics and getting to the last one, it still left you wanting more, wanting to know more, and everything inbetween.
It could be to that the whole IB to CC doesn't fly well with me, but I could see where you guys come from on that growing up with that story line. We both have Hasbro to thank for that one, right

?
It could be too that I know so much more about CC and US Joe characters that just drives me that way. I do the same with Star Wars characters too, so this isn't the only thing that I have to focus on. Could say it's my mad crusade to find out information

. Also can't leave out that AF is really cool and I have been trying to find ways to blend it into my Joe world. I can't see any problem with Cobra and Shadows being out for the same goal and the same with Joe and AF. I have Destro's IGs in that mix, as another group out to destory both Joe and Cobra, so it would only seem like something that could be in my world. Even the Noks I view as a seperate group, as the are a mercenary gang. It just keeps everything more fun.
If anything I guess the story I'm writing can just be mine to tie-in everything I want too, but it helps to built something with others. I have already got many great ideas from stuff that has been said here and I would hope that my story would do the same for others.

Nope. Hasbro weren't involved until 1987. This was all Palitoy era. When Hasbro took the reins they decided to keep the name Action Force, but it was really GI Joe UK.
Just checking, have you familiarised yourself with Dave Tree's fantastic History of Action Force article, momaw?

I do the opposite, Momaw. I try and work the Joe's into AF. Like I said, they are different universes and the CC in BAF is not the same as Marvel (US). It works better that way.

Especially as it make the BAF CC nastier and more believable as a villain as opposed to the bumbler I've seen in GI Joe.
A car salesman makes no sense, a pissed off schizophrenic Swiss lord makes lots more sense. Also Red Jackal Vs Destro (US) I like that story better too. I think the Baroness back story is very similar?

Ahh man you have opened a can of Worms. Now I will agree that the Sunbow CC is way out of his league taking on a special forces team, hell he probably coulnt take down a girl scout troop. Marvel's CC is as mentally disturbed as ol Ironblood.
CC beleives the goverment is only out to crush the hard working man while the fat cats in DC live off every perk that comes their way. (Yes I'm aware that CC is a huge Hypocrite, since as soon as he gets power he does the same) He was probably always mentally unstable and a evil (As mentioned used car salesman) but all it took was that little car accident to complete brake any wall of sanity he had. I mean CC is a Mad Genius. He has a brother killed, Through his own stupidity of getting sloshed and driving. Instead of seeing that his brothers actions were all his own, all he see's is conspiracy by the goverment. So the only logical thing for him to do is build a fortune through pyramid schemes so he can build a an army of what he see's as people who have been stepped on by the elite (How Marxist of him). That way he can conquer The U.S. and the world.
Now tell me CC is as Bat sh*t insane as Ironblood

It's good to see someone actually answering that question shadow on a few forums CC's past has been made fun of, all I could think is why don't they bother try to find out how "just a used car salesman" can become someone like Cobra Commander.
