The rate of progress I'm making mate there will be real snow on the ground for the photos being taken! But I am getting there. As with everything I do it spirralled out of control at the ideas stage and has gone from one or two little items to a beast of a project that just keeps getting bigger!

Thats a great name for the team (thanks a bunch for giving me lots more customs to make now)
I think we need a desert team to.
Can you please give me a more detailed description of how you did the paint jobs please? i.e. how did you fray the tape?
Sorry if im being thick.

I rip it down each side of the tape on the roll and strip it down the required length I need. Less straight the better, there are some bits on the Skystriker that just look like tape! (got a bit lazy there)

If you loosely build the vehicle without screwing or snapping together any pieces, you can run the tape over any joining pieces e.g the fins on the Skystriker, cut at the join and when its built the camo matches.

Be sure to make sure the edges are sealed down tight as not to allow the top coat to leak onto the bottom when spraying.

I found the colours were a little too bright for me on the Arctic and lightly sprayed, from a greater distance, black/white spray to give it a dirty or snowy look.
Works a treat if you`ve already put the decals on to dull them down a bit.

The smaller off-cuts from the tape can be used for either figures or smaller camo strips on the vehicle.

Hope this helps a little

Due to a bit of interest in the camo scheme I did a littlle pic guide to how I did it.
Little project I did tonight, there are a few pics,(sorry)

One AF9 , our test subject

Splits into 3 parts, gently ease off from the pins, I used a pair of scissors as my choice of weapon for this

Mask the areas you want to keep white, try and keep the tape well sealed on the edges

Image

Have fun with the black spray and off you go
Image

Painted the skis black too for later, this spray seems to dry in about 10-15 mins, faster if outside.

Tape off , looks a little bright for my tastes so on with the alpine white.

White is sprayed from a distance so not too heavy

Nice contrast of the black skis now when built

Tend to put the original stickers onto plastic like this takeaway container, keeps the adhesive for reapplying later

Finish it off with a TKW :zforce: decal and we are away:)
