It's not a Kenobi head, although Star Wars figures were used a lot in the kit bashing of mock ups originally, I'm hoping a few may have survived and will uncover some in the digging.

Had a thought on the origins of Special Wpns Force as a result of the original cost of AF thread.

At the time of release of these toys we were in the middle of the cold war and special wpns are Nukes, so it kinda makes sense (well to me any way LOL!)

There's more prototypes Dave? They used Star Wars parts? I suppose it would have been handy that Palitoy were making Star Wars figures.

I think there are more, I know of two, one I had at the Palitoy exhibition last year and the other I know is for sale at a horrific £800!!!
The info on Gus's site that the image came from might need updating, there is so much info on ther, that it makes the admin side a huuuuuge task.

too right, they used them to kitbash ideas of figures together, just as Fisher Price Adventure People were used to kitbash some of the early Star Wars figures. One of the former marketing guys I've been in touch with, who helped launch Action Force mentioned that they were used as the template for a lot of the early ideas.

The Arctic guy is a repainted Han Solo in Hoth Gear with extra putty.
The US paratrooper is repainted and resculpted Luke Skywalker in Bespin Fatigues.
