I didnt know a thing about digital coloring either when this started ! but once you get into it, its a load of fun

really rewarding to see a page like that come alive you start seeing all kinds of things that you NEVER saw before that makes you go WOW these stories are even better now that I see it

we have a real simple 6 step guide

check out the thread Coloring for dummies thread and ONLY look at my post I break the wordy ones down into 6 simple steps

the biggest thing about it , is not learning how to color, its the time it will take

Its extremely rewarding but does take time

were cuttting it close on ONE story so if we can get more colorist to work on the one story then this volume is a definate before christmas

PM me if ANYONE is interested that isnt already taken up coloring things

Very nice cover Baron!

If it were me, I'd stretch the main picture vertically a little to move the top of the roboskull much closer to the white title stripe and reduce the spare blue space.

I'll try it, but I'd rather shift the whole image up than stretch it. The blue space was the reason I flipped the original image, luckily Zrtan and several of the Cobra Troopers were left-handed in the original pic!

I also love the fact that the artists used Red Jackal instead of Destro, that continues our mixed-bag theme. I will touch up the red in his collar.

Sorry Baron, my OCD got the better of me and I had to have a pop at stretching the image to see how it turned out:

Actually that's better than I thought it would look - I shall persevere with the method. However we need to keep a large margin as part of the publishers' specifications. I'm not sure of the dimensions - Jamar?

The other thought is to painstakingly trim the pink background from the other FANGs, I did mess about with it but lost my rag LOL

OCD strikes again!

I had to see all 3 looking side by side:

I can see what you mean Baron about the large margins.

Maybe raising the image is better than stretching it.
