Na, I'm quite happy to throw in the towel on this one mate!
I'm confident the upside down "E" design would have worked, but i'd have then had to buy some totally clear plastic for casting, and it was going to mean me trampling onto your toes as the stands supplier, and would have needed your stands anyway, so I am totally happy to quit trying now you have it seemingly sorted out. (and am actually quite relieved, as it was turning into a bit of a headache!). I shall refocus my efforts onto how on earth I'm going to do some of the 20 or so other things I've got floating around my head or scribbled on the back of beer mats somewhere now! Including what has now become codenamed the "Tits and Trifle Project"!
no worries steve i wouldnt of minded, i know what you mean by headache this was my third attempt and would of probably thrown the towel in myself if this hadn't worked which is why i was hoping you may come up with something.
"Tits and Trifle Project" any clues as to what this is then?...wasn't it eddie and ironblood into the trifle thing
ok so The Baron is down for 30 of these attachments if anyone else is interested could you please post in this thread as i aim to make a start on them hopefuly the following weekend as i have a lot of other bits i need to get sorted before i begin this project.
oh almost forgot, i tried the Quarrel figure but her feet are too big and wont fit under but the cobra eels work.

just a little update on the progress or should i say lack of it.
im having a bit of a nightmare with this clear casting resin its completely different to the usual resin, this stuff takes around 24 hours before you can demould compared to the half hour demould on the usual resin and i just can't seem to get it mixed right its just coming out all rubbery, i think its the mix ratio that im not getting right it says 100partA-120partB and maths is not my strong point so if anyone is familiar with mixing ratios please let me know, im using 2grms part A and have used 1grm partB working up in 5grm increments to 4 partsB but no joy.
i've sent an email to the tech department where i got the resin from and im hoping they can help me out fingers crossed 'cause this stuff cost me £40 and thats not including the moulds

100a to 120b signifies to me that you should be using 20% more part b than part a. but that could be me being silly...

TKW is right. Your current mix ratio is 2 parts to 1 part. What is the final volume you are using? At work for one stains that we use there are three component parts e.g. 2 parts of A 1 part of B and 1 part of C. We make it up to 100ml so that's 50ml of A and 25 ml of the other two parts. That may not help but let me know your final volume to be used.

Awkward ratios!! Mine is always either a 1 to 10. , or 1 to 1, but I agree, it needs to be an extra 20% of the second one. A tip - I use baby medicine syringes to accurately measure. They come from boots and cost pennys. Use one syringe for fluid a, and one for b, and mark them up as such and keep them solely for that (otherwise you get them setting solid). using them you should be able to measure out accurately 10ml of one, and 12ml of the other.
