Aye - I've got some close ups. I'll upload them tomorrow - I just used that one to try to show the positioning of them!

Sorry- those have come out in the wrong order (trying to use iPad camera!).

The bubbles on these later single bubbled items are very poor quality - very cheap, very brittle. Hence why the miscarried single bubblers are always so hammered. But, and it's only a theory, there is a uniformity to the positioning. It's a 2mm gap from bubble edge to bottom of card normally, and about 8mm fro side of bubble to side of card. My theory? That it will be about the same for Star Wars cards. Only hypothetical , but that would suggest that in the great Palitoy sell off the bubble putting on machine from SW was used for Af. Just makes you wonder if the machine itself was then sold off to someone.....with some old SW card backs and bubbles.....

The miscards bubbles also seem prone to 'shrinking'. The Stormshadow red shadow and baron single bubble are still firmly attached, but the bubble seems to have been shrunk, leaving the tear mark where the blue has gone, or they were misplaced and stuck on again at the factory?

The one I have is in crap condition too. The bubble looks to have shrunk and dropped off with age. Sounds familiar? I like your conspiracy theory, Steve, I need to fetch an armadillo hat.

Well they look like the Palitoy bubbles but they see to be mounted further to the right than with most bubbles I've seen, but I'm not an expert on the palitoy style bubbles.

I do know that at the end of the Star Wars line they literally threw figures, cards and bubbles together into some random combinations and these are legit retail pieces. They could have well done the same with the AF line but again the old economic foresight comes in and asks would anyone buy up all the necessary equipment to seal these with a line that is being killed off and replaced?

I'm considering getting these all re sealed so they line up better. Some bloke in the pub has offered me this machine for sticking bubbles to cards for £50...

They were possibly packaged by Hasbro in their Waterford factory , where they manufactured the :maf: era vehicles.
Hi Martin.
Am I correct in thinking that there's also Star Wars figures packaged & sold in the same style of box... called something like 'Space Figures' or something?

Does anybody know if these were produced by he same people who were responsible for the :AFLogo: clearance packs?

This Toy Toni saga is still rolling on with no clear outcome or proof one way or the other. People appear to be interpreting things in a way that suits their mindset. I'm wondering how long before it causes a run on other lines within Star Wars, eg Trilogos.
