Saw it yesterday, didn't fall asleep, very enjoyable film, despite the flaws!
Even the Mrs. liked it.

Went to see it on Friday in one of our local cinemas and they had a new "First Class" concept with large leather chairs with leg support, separate tables for your drinks (yes, you could order wine, beer or champagne :)) and those Retaliation 3D glasses for keeps :D

It wasnt too bad but they went a bit too much Ninja-kick-@ss for my taste.

Oh, you would be SCREWED! The fellas they were up against were pretty modern military, so thermal imagers would be a serious potential threat!

Yep, perfect for a sniper! Like smoking 20 Marlboro lights at the same time!

I watched Retaliation again at the weekend, Arashikage Eddie and I hit up the IMAX. First off, the dialogue was WAY clearer in IMAX, although it could be that the sound in the Empire Leicester Square sucks donkey dong, and secondly, the 3D in IMAX is EPIC! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCC!!! SOOOOOOO much better than regular cinema 3D!

Spoilers...

Okay, my two favourite bits, Storm Shadow stopping his heart, to get pulled out the bacta tank thing, and the reveal that Zartan killed the Hard Master! AWESOME! AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOME!

Generals Joes lists Retaliation as making 130 mill opening weekend, which is their budget paid off, and is now somewhere around 230 mill, so Paramount have greenlit part three!

Pleasepleaseplesplesplesplesples let Zartan return!

Saw it last Sunday. Loved it. Better than RoC, and heck, I liked that movie too.

Also, you'd have to make damn certain they'd had enough time to cool down before taking a leak .

WOW. That would not be one to tell the grandkids, would it? If grandkids were possible after doing that...

Nauseatingly American.

Does anyone actually care about the Hard Master?

Having also hired Firefly in the past, I can confirm that he never removes his mask.

I have now started cliff combat training with my Shadows. Snake Eyes and Jinx have provided evidence it's somewhere we need to improve.

Well I did see it and enjoyed it but one thing stood out to me a wrong. Spoilers ahead.

In the film after all the Joes get killed Lady J turn to roadblock (A sergeant major) and says "your our leader now" then though out the film makes a point in at lest three scenes that Lady J is in fact a 1st lieutenant and there for is the ranking officer. So why would roadblock then be the leader???? This to me was just insulating to military rank and file and to female military officers in general. basically saying woman can't lead. Now while the character might well have the right to refuse command she certainly would not get a promotion to the rank of Captain if she had done so.

Anyway other than that I did really enjoy the film, though personally I would not have killed off the first film characters.
