Veritably a new chapter in Red Shad history. As if they ever went away ...

These guys remind me of the :shadow: bods in Codename Tracker http://www.bloodforthebaron.com/comics/ ... index.html

Apart from the Red Torch dude - is he not rather derirative of :skeletron: :muton: as opposed to :hyena: / Crimson Guard and thus perchance a little easier to slot? I.E. did he get an Amiga CPU rather than one from the VIC20 or CBM64? Or is he a wholly different animal: one with a PS1 processor? SCHEISSE!

Still got to read up and see if :baron: went to the convention.

Well, BFTB-power just keeps rolling

:jammer: "Tonight's the night I get in some out-of-retirement Shad-slottin-sh*t"
:junkyard: "Yeah!"
:jammer: "Deep cover on the convention-lobbying incognito tip."
:baron: "Killin' motherf*ckers if I have to,
Peelin' caps too, cause you :sas: know I'm comin' at you.
I guess thats part of the game,
But I feel for the :zforce: who thinks he just gonna come and chance things
With the swiftness, so get it right, with the quickness ( :quick: !),
And let me handle my business, yo.
I'm on a mission and my mission won't stop
Until I get the :shadow: maxin' at the top."
:jammer: "I hope you get don't get :AFLogo: 's ass before we drop."
:baron: "Kingpin kickin back while his workers sling his rocks.
Coming up like a fat rat.
Big money, big cars, 'n :vulture: big body guards on his back.
So it's difficult to get him."

:quick:* **

* With apologies to the Doctor, intellectual property rights, and the Cobber anti-history which is now, not so much forsaken, as utterly complicated by one more remove.

** With many commendations to El Baroni / Eisenblut for getting his agenda recognised in international fora and fauna. Persuasive bastard: how he managed not to become EU president, tis a miracle.

BTW the EU president does look a bit like a Shad who got hit on the head too many times by :stake:

I see what you mean, it would be a good contrast and harken back to his red map of old.
Me ol' muckers, :major: is not :major: without the ol' волкогонов словарь thing going on! How else can Joe >cough< John :shadow: know how to operate the fixed rockets on the Shadowtrak for fugg's sake! How else did :wolf: learn to fly the greatest imaginary of the 80s: the Roboskull! Not with the last twitters of Karl Vagan, that's for sure.

Twas :major: 's apps wot did it.

Maybe :major: can have a rucksack hanging jauntily off of one shoulder, sort of a bag, sort of a resource tool with mood memories easily accessible, like an operations plan or an analogue of the non-oil can subtly applied to a :shadow: 's helmet, with all its hints of Nam and muppetry in general, maybe even a USB of :baron: killing all his men when they got whiny in front of the :kraken: , that'll help focus minds when they outnumber :sas: 11-1 instead of 10-1.

:quick:

Ooh! Meertoh, you've got an empty bag, yeah? Does the original :major: codebook fit inside it?

The bag's probably inside the cavity wall with all his other Shads and thus a bit of a squeeze on the codebook front, even if it eez wafer-thin.

Or maybe not.

I've read what everybody has had to say about these new versions of Red Shadows and the Red Torches, and I simply have to say that I think MasterCollector has done a great job of trying to honor what has come before. At least they didn't try to make them look like Devil's Due Production's upgrade version of the Shads in the comics. If nothing else, this could really generate interest for American collectors who may have never had the priveledge of following the adventures of Action Force vs. the Red Shadows. I really want to get these figures because they are nice additions to what has come before. I consider these to be "army builders" to my own collection of 5 point articulation Red Shadows with bazookas, not replacements...

:-)
