This from last night near Maryinka
Some armour moving around on Russian side of frontline tonight.
Meanwhile Turkish special needs fighting the Syrian Kurds last two hours, Turkish armour started crossing into Syria at the same time and main force still moving in.
Will see whether Russian air force responds at daylight. Turks might just be on another night time only incursion. Presumably they're not going to target the US airstrip in Kurdish territory as well...

Turk arty firing on ISIS and Syrian Army positions at opposite ends of Syria as well beyond immediate Kurdish targets. Syrian regime forces protecting Russian base at Latakia now firing back at Turkish arty.
Gonna be tasty tomorrow morning. Russians will manage 20+ to 1 kill ratio against Turkish air force.

Not particularly tasty as of 0600HRS. Perhaps it will just be eternal proxy-war business as usual.

Russian Air Force strategic SW voice radio net went up four hours ago with activity over the Barents Sea - Bears, Blackjacks or Backfires must be well underway by now, will soon know if just more UK trolling like last time or through the Med to release various ALCMs by Cyprus.

Indeed - wondering where the Russians are now, maybe just a quick dash out to get everyone on their toes - depends whether they want to hit Turkish proxy targets in Syria given the level of overnight shelling against Syrian Kurds and close to the RU base on the coast.

Russians decided to withdraw certain air assets from Syria having stabilised their client regime and introduce Havoc and Alligator helos instead just as their tourist visas expired two days ago.
Unwise.
One of the few times they've been up against or targeted "ISIS". Turkoman civilians are such easier prey for lost wolves.
Obviously the mini drone vomwomble decides to film things rather than spank the opfor.
In other news, GRU didn't come out of their recent contacts in Syria so well either:
And there were 55 attacks along the line of confrontation in Ukraine in the last days, ground based EW kit being moved back in. And Ukraine has been able to confirm a minimum of 1600 RUAF KIA since March 2014, doesn't include all other types of "tourist".

Combat in the industrial zone of Avdeevka yesterday evening.
30000 Russian paras on standby at the moment, 100 Ilyushin transports at their disposal for three more days. Started with one unit going to full alert four days ago with 10 transports at their disposal, now escalated for PR.
