we really should organize some sort of writing campaign or petition to get the Red Shadows back particularly aimed at Panini

i suggested that months ago.

i also planned to write a story featuring them and everyone told me it was a waste of time.

They are doing a long story anyway at the moment so it may take awhile to unfold. They did however say to submit your bases to their website. I would submit mine except I haven't yet got any ladders for it.

Exactly what Double-Tap said. When IDW took over the reins of the GI Joe comics, Jamar and I and several others started posting about Red Shadows on their forums and it got a very mixed response. The moment was too soon and we did ourselves no favours by pushing for a different direction during an uncertain time. Whereas DDP had listened and welcomed our input, IDW were still establishing a footing.

I am optimistic that we can work with Panini, I particuarly want to have a creators Q&A panel at the proposed BFRB convention.

its also essential to find out what their submission guide is.

i would also try and contact an assistant editor rather than the main editor.
generally editors are busy people who may not have the time to assess every script proposal but assistants are generally more receptive to up and coming writers/artists.

would also really advise you to team up with an artist to breakdown/story board anything you come up with.
personally i hate reading scripts and its easier to read/scan a story thats already been broken down even if the art is pretty basic

What's the gift for issue #4?

I have a feeling my daughter will be stealing my wristband from issue 3!
