Stirling? Yeah, but he founded the SAS. In any case from my googling I've discovered the most common high ranking SAS soldier on the front line is USUALLY up to WO. And the same still applies, if a Trooper is designated mission leader, he is the boss and calls all the shots. Everybody else, regardless of rank, has to follow his orders. Commissioned Officers tend to be rear echelon and not get involved so much in front line activities. Tho there are always exceptions.

Have a read of "Ghost Force" tho, Sundance. Its a mind blowing read, best book on SF I've ever read.

That's right, Stirling was a Captain. The WWII incarnation of the SAS doesn't bear a huge resemblance to the modern SAS tho. They were disbanded in 1945 then reformed in 1950 to fight in Malaya. 22 SAS was first IIRC.

Anyway, my point is that the ranking system can work easily for AF.

I like your basic Bio's, hows this tho?

Skeletrons are mkI death robots.

Invulnerable to small-arms fire, the mk I Skeletron death robot is a simple killing machine. Unlike the mk II Muton, the Skeletron can only be given three basic tasks; sentry duty, all-out attack and standing guard. The Skeltron is vulnerable to large calibre weapons, such as tank shells or anti-tank rockets. They're also vulnerable to anti-personnel mines. They will keep going till their last bolt falls out.

"Death is no obstacle for the armies of The Baron."

Codename; Major Flagg
File name: Francis Munro-Deighton
PMS: Troop management
SMS: Strategic planning
Birthplace?

Major Flagg is "The" Commander, Action Force's CO. Flagg deals with logistics, assigning repair details to fixing tanks, rearming Triads or even making sure the catering squad has enough food for the mess hall. Flagg's not a line officer, having spent his career prior to Action Force in Whitehall, but he can set up a logistics train and coordinate a mutli-national operation better than anyone.

"You need troops on the ground in North Africa before tea? Flagg will see its done"

Snake Eyes
File name: CLASSIFIED
PMS: Infantry
SMS: Hand-to-hand combat instructor
Birthplace: CLASSIFIED

No-one really knows who Snake-Eyes is. No-one even knows why he doesn't speak. Some rumours suggest a horrific helicopter crash ruined his vocal cords. Other claim he was injured by a sniper. Wilder stories suggest a vow of silence after the death of his ninja master. All we know is, he lets his actions speak for him. Ex US 'green beret', Snake Eyes is among the best and proves it on every op he goes on.

"The man is a total mystery, but he's real good at his job, heck, he's the best"

What do you guys think? Sundance?

I find it unlikely that the people who hired Snakes Eyes and wrote his profile wouldn't know who he is.

well Snake Eyes: The Origin proved Hawk and Stalker didn't know everything there was to know about him. and in ROC no-one knew why he didn't speak.

EDIT: oh, and yeah, they're fine by me. for the birthplace, take your pick: Aylesbury, Bucks or Stevenage, Herts. that was where Flagg and The Commander were born in my fan-fic. tried going for somewhere posh and Home Counties to fit The Commander's accent in 'Baron's Revenge'.

He was in Barons Revenge? I'd forgotten that, haven't listened to it in 25 years tho. ;-)

Pick a place then, Sundance, for Flagg. I changed the end of the Snake eyes bio to add,

"Ex US 'green beret', Snake Eyes is among the best and proves it on every op he goes on."

This suggests that his past is known, just not disclosed. Maybe we can rewrite it so its a bit more classified and less of a mystery?

I'm a bit more concerned about Skeletron, is he a Muton MkI (Personally I love that idea), Kraken Skeleton, a dumb drone or reanimated shad? Maybe a poll?
