Battlefields are anywhere Cobra strikes so vehicles of any type are needed in this instance the Steel Crusher was used in Paris.

i think cobra are in need of some stealth vehicles! dont see why people keep bringing up mask, this is just a hummer with a rocket launcher in the back!

It pretty much resembles the Jackhammer vehicle Ross plus the way it morphs like a MASK vehicle.

It's the same vehicle? I suspected it but wasn't sure. Now it just needs a hole to put  's sword through ;-) .

it doesnt really morph tho, it has a bumper that you can clip on + the top open & a rocket launcer comes out! the sheild that fold down over the windscreen is a pretty standard riot shield.

Ross, some MASK vehicles didn't transform per se either. The Gator, for example, just deployed a hydroplane from the jeep. Therefore, the idea of being "built" rather than "transformed" doesn't take the relation off.

yeah, so the jeep turned out to be an empty shell, hiding the hydroplane, it didnt just have a gun stashed in the back!

Maybe I need to get a Steel Crusher myself to make a better comparison...

  • This vehicle has got nothing to do with Cobra. Cobra is using strange over the top vehicles (like the Mole Pod), this is just a Hummer with a plough.
  • Every vehicle and figure comes with a stupid laucher.
  • The figure looks daft.
  • They used a consumer Hummer SUV instead of a military Humvee 4x4. A Humvee would still not be over the top, but at least it would have made a little bit more sense.
  • These toys are very overpriced. At the moment it is being sold for around 39.99 euros. (26 pounds). That is way too much for a box of plastic without any sentimental, historical or juvenile value.
Ironblood wrote:And why buy it cheap if you don't like it?
In clearance sales I buy a lot of stuff I don't like or need. I am not a StarWars collector, but I still have over 50 StarWars figures MOC in the attic.

I need to have patience, but in the end it will be dumped. For 10 euros I might be temped to buy it and put it next to my Humvee collection. Read properly, might be!

Personally I like it... it fits in perfectly with my Cobra forces (they need a vehicle that can operate on the streets without drawing attention to itself but able to defend itself if needs be) but it could also find use as an Action Force or Civilian vehicle too - in fact I've got a little diostory on the go in which it does that. Just out of interest, does anyone know why they changed the name of it for the toy? In the movie novel it's called a Scarab... much cooler than "Steel Crusher"!! (I'm guessing it's something to do with copyright) Anyway that's my opinion (for what little it's worth)
Cheers
