Those last two post are brilliant! The guys from still game and Chewin the Fat are brilliant. You need to look for the lighthouse keeper sketches in Chewin the Fat. You'll understand when you see them! Gonnae no! How? Just gonnae no!

Hi Paul
I find Chewing the fat really funny, in fact I find most scotish comedy lot better than english stuff like Little Briton or Catherine Tate..I'm proud to say I've got all the Still Game d.v.d.s including the live stage show.
I grew up watching Naked Video..one of the best sketch show's ever I.m.h.o. as well as Rab C Nesbitt
& never had any trouble understanding his accent.
I work with two Scottish women, & often have to ask them what some of the Scott's slang means, you should of seen Alisons face when I asked her what the meanings of "Fudd" & "Fandan" where
Any one know if another series of Still Game is on the cards? I miss Jack & Victor, good news that Fags, mags & bags has got a 3rd run on radio 4

Mate I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!!!!! The Rab C accent is very west coast. Those of us on the East coast have a softer accent, but we stil roll our "R's" Murrrrrrrder as I am often asked to say while in England!

Ahhh! Thats the one! Thanks Annie - I love it.
"If it's outside Yorkshire it's not worth visiting". You'd not believe how true that is to some folk around here. I work in Barnsley, and some of them refer to Sheffield (15 miles away) as "down South". When i moved here I got a lot of resentment from some folks as I was "more Northern" (I'm originally from Darlington!). Unbelievable!

I'm sure Eddie will remember that last summer I was rather excited that we were going to Teignmouth - which is in the next county and everything
