love the gaucho figure, but would love to see the black on the tunic/face blended in a bit more to give it more of a smooth finish. what paints were used?
personally not a fan of this base figure, (thought it made a terrible black major he had a way too mopey looking face for a cold blooded killer!) but you have made good use of it.

if you look around the face you can see it's not blended & i'd be supprised if the jacket could look like thatr because of a bad camera. dont get me wrong, i really like the figure just think it could be tweaked!

Excellent work, but isn't this Gung-Ho not Gaucho?

Yep, this is Gung-ho:

All the Action Force figures had exactly the same face - that of the larger Action Man - save for the few Gi Joe add-ins...

Even the most evil man in the world had the exact same face as all of the AF, plus the addition of the classic 'evil '80's goatee'...

Cool pic, as I said though the original inspiration was to make a Wave 2 figure using only Wave 1 parts, hence the inspiration came from Gaucho (with his US Marine tattoo), not Gung-Ho who was Wave 3. We went with a uniform because there were no bare-chested leather boys in Wave 1 from whom we could take parts  .
:major: Black Major was made from the same parts as Wave 1's :cmmdr: AF-Commander, hence he fitted the brief for this project.

Andy1672 has already said he's going to have a go at making a Wave 1 style US Marine, and I hope other customisers will too.

I should also point out that Mark did this as a free favour to me in a single evening, and by that token he did a bloody good job

really like this concept (and I'm not a fan of the non-multi jointed figs), the Gung Ho/Gaucho is incredibly detailed, and the firefly is perfect.

anymore?

Welcome to the fun, SPEC OPS!

Although I'm working on the prototype :uspara: Paratrooper at the mo', I've been talking to my buddy Mark about :jammer: Jammer, and it looks like he might be working on a Wave 1 straight-limbed version of him possibly in the near future.
